Exclamation EGT Sensor Plug Exhaust Leak

I recently developed a nasty exhaust leak and figured it was at the connection between the OEM cat and my FI Cat Back. After further inspection I discovered that the leak was in the area of the turbo manifold. Since the vehicle is still under warranty I decided to take it in and not mess with it. After a few days my service advisor called to inquire if I had removed the factory EGT sensors. Excuse me!? Only modification is the cat back so they had to contact their tech line. To our surprise, we learned that the EGT sensors were removed at the factory and a non threaded plug was inserted in the turbo manifold. They did not know if this was for all MY18 or if I own a unicorn. I suspect it is for all MY18 RS at a minimum but currently I have no information to support that. Just passing on the information. The service notes are below:

Did you discover the leak by hearing it?

I'd take hearing over smelling it every day

I have been having an exhaust in the cabin nightmare with my MY2018 Q60RS since last year.

Infiniti has looked at my car twice, even sent out one of their corporate “specialists”.

They deny that there is a problem with my vehicle disputes clear carbon monoxide sensor data reading in the car, which elevated with every open close of the throttle.

They will not even allow the vehicle to be inducted to service based in the same complaint.

Thanks for posting and revealing that it could be something as simple as what you found.

Only difference is I do not hear any noise

I never smelled anything in the cabin. My issue was instant. One moment I was cruising along listening to the wonderful sound of my exhaust then all of sudden JALOPY.
