Q60 Brake Rotors

My awesome wife got me 20 inch wheels and Nittos for Xmas. I have a 3.0t Premium AWD. I am looking to replace the factory rotors with some nice looking drilled and slotted ones. Does anyone know if the same rotors from a 14-17 Q50 or a 08-15 G37 (Q60) would fit. Any help would be appreciated.

Happy Holidays!!

It sounds like your Christmas went very well.

Drilled and slotted rotors would compliment the new wheels and tires nicely. Have you check with Z1 Motorsports? The R&D Team is constantly at work with the Q. The Z1 Akebono upgrade kit offers the drilled and slotted rotors as standard and 2 piece options and is now available.

I've done a bit of digging on this topic and did some comparisons to try and help verify rotors that would more then likely fit. Granted I did this for my Q60RS AWD, but I think you could apply this comparison approach to Q60 AWD. I used InfinitiUSA's estore for part # references per model. Of course for the 2017 Q60, only the rear axle had part info available so I had to surmise what the front most likely would be. In short, brake rotors for the 2015 Q50S AWD or 2016 Q50RS AWD seem like they'd work. Thus you could look up aftermarket rotors for these models instead (again in theory). Sorry I haven't gotten to pads yet.

2011 G37 Coupe RWD:

F Rotors: 40206-JL00A
R Rotors: 43206-JL00A

2015 Q50S AWD:

F Rotors: 40206-JL00A
R Rotors: 43206-1CA0A

2016 Q50RS AWD:

F Rotors: 40206-JL00A
R Rotors: 43206-1CA0A

2017 Q60RS AWD:

F. Rotors = 40206-JL00A (assumption based on rear matching the Q50's)
R. Rotors = 43206-1CA0A

Your wife really loves you ! I know this is about the rotors but I'm dying to see the rims and tires ! BUT @LoganB really did a fine break down there. The 2-piece Z1 rotors look freaking phenomenal though.

And just cause I got even more curious about the pads here's what I came up with for possible aftermarket brands that should theoretically fit the the Q60RS since the calipers on the Q50S and Q50RS AWD are practically identical. Again just remember that until I actually test this out or Infiniti gets their parts diagrams updated for the 2017 Q60, this is all speculative.

Hawk Performance Ceramic Pads:

F. Pad = HB601Z.626
R. Pad = HB602Z.545

StopTech Street Performace Pads:

F. Pad = 308.13460
R. Pad = 308.13470

Akebono ProACT Pads (OEM):

F. Pad = ACT1346
R. Pad = ACT1347

Rod,

I have an AWD RS400 and am wanting to upgrade my rotors. I believe the RS400 comes with upgraded calipers and 14" rotors in the front. Will the Akebono-style sprinkle slotted rotors fit with the RS400 calipers?

Thanks,
Shane

Yes it will, the OEM front rotor part number is 40206-JL00A for the RS (both RWD and AWD), which is the same 14.3" rotor used in the front of the G37 coupes with the sport brake kit (circa 2011 and up) as well as the Q50RS.

Per the factory catalog, this is correct. No assumption needed.
