I need more interior lighting ASAP... Any ideas?

Hi all, so my first evening with my new car and it's awesome, fast, drives by itself, looks great....but living in Toronto this time of year it's dark from 5pm. I need some more interior lighting ASAP.

I thinking can figure out the floor ok...but any suggestions for the roof? I figure I can get the front roof console off and use power from there...but has anyone seen any diy's? I've run some interior stuff lights...but there is no way I want to damage a brand new car. And I'm not even sure of what to install and where. But I use the back seat for storage and I'd like to see what's back there.

Do you want the interior lit while you're driving? I assume you've found the "Instrument brightness control switch" and have that set to maximum.
Infiniti Radiant Interior Ambient Lighting. Part Number: T99F35CH0A ?

The infiniti (or aftermarket) would work for floor lighting...but i realize i would REALLY like some sort of lighting from the headliner? I've searched and thus far can't find anything that jumps out at me. I could buy a cheap aftermarket dome light and wire it in i guess?

I saw those 'starlight' headliner roof lighting systems...they look great, but i imagine the install would be very difficult.

You could try some white EL wire. You can get it off of amazon for cheap. It's easy to form, you can trim it to length, and you could just run it off of a battery pack instead of having to slice into wires of the car. Of course you could probably just get an inverter and plug it up to the car. There's a bunch of tutorial videos about EL wire in cars on youtube.

And actually there are a few EL wire kits with the lighter plug I see.

hey thanks! that looks like it might work. I'm going to look for a power source that is triggered by the lights nearby...if anyone knows of one pls chime in.

LoganB thanks again.

Ok so i think i can put a strip of lights at the very top of the rear window facing down to the back seats.

And in the future i'd like to install foot well lighting that stays on at night.

But now i need to find power sources for both...i can take power from the dome light if i have to for the over head lighting. But does anyone know where i can find a power source that worked with the exterior lighting (my car as lit cup holders and trim in the doors...but i don't know where i can pull that from)

Maybe switch the led' s in the roof console to brighter bulbs... those aren't that bright to begin with.
