*SO* many more Q50s vs Q60s on the road

Just wondering why there are so many more Q50s on the road than Q60s (at least in my area). I am actually very thankful for that, I really like having a more unique car.

I know that the 4 door is more practical, but I did NOT buy this car for practicality (we have the van for that).

Even on the Q50/Q60 Facebook group, the discussions are about 90% Q50. It strikes me as interesting because many people do mods (both aesthetic and performance) where I thought the Q60 would be much more conducive for that.

Any thoughts? Just because they are more practical?

The Q50 (V37 platform) has also been on the market since 2013, with the MY2014 Q50, which included a Hybrid. The Q60 (CV37 platform) was only offered beginning September 2016, with the MY2017 Q60, so the Q50 body style had a head-start over the latest Q60.

And yes, the 4-dr is "more practical" for carrying passengers.

Infiniti delayed the Q60 release (2 years I think) due to the major problems initially with the Q50. Now if I were Infiniti in the next gen I would off both a 2 and 4 door option. That way they can maximize their investment while not giving up on the important coupe market. Oh, please ask on the Q50 Boards do they wish the Q50 had the more aggressive Q60 look while keeping 4 doors!
