Infiniti says the Q60 could get the same 3.7 liter engine.

Hopefully they have plans to drop the hybrid engine in the Q60, it would be filling a small niche and make the Q60 stand out from the rest of the luxury/sport coupes on the market.

The 2014 Infiniti Q60 will be exactly the same as the current 2013 Infiniti G37, it's just going to wear the "Q60" badge instead when it comes out later this year.

So expect the current 2013 infiniti g37 coupe specifications to be very close to it's 2014 Q60 model. This being much more accurate than the above.

I seen an article somewhere, might be on this forum that mentioned a new vehicle from Infiniti will get a twin turbo v6 engine, i'm willing to bet it could be the Infiniti Q60.

We got a while till it comes out and when it does, just maybe a twin turbo v6 Infiniti Q60 will be available.

Hard to say what specs for that engine will be like but, 400-500 horsepower is what we should expect.

Infiniti is doing a major overhaul of all their vehicles and hinted in the future they will look at competing with the big established brands out their.

So yes, it does replace the G series but don't expect your typical G series.

Chances are something like this can happen, maybe not right now but possibly in a few years.

I think the engine will be or based off the Nissan GTR R35. But the biggest question is how much will this performance model cost if this were true.

Like I said. The drivetrain likely isn't going to change much if any at all. The Q50 barely changed from the G37 sedan and the Q50 hybrid is basically the M35h.

I would be surprised if the coupe has more power or is different than the existing G37 coupe.

I wonder if they will still do an IPL Q60.

Sure seems like an Infiniti Performance Line Q60 is in the works and reported to have a 530 horsepower V6-engine :D

I'm having my doubts this will happen, it's such a big jump, but who knows. More about it in this article 2014 Infiniti G IPL Reported with Twin-Turbo 530-HP V6

Lets just hope that if infiniti were to release a Q60 IPL it wont be a let down like the last IPL G37. As much as the name or acronym make it sound faster or perform better it didnt live up to its name. the current G37 has V6 dialed in at 330 hp and 270 ft lbs torque, And the IPL model on has an increase of 18 hp and 6 more torque than its base model. Yes it did come with nicer wheels and all but really..?

So if the rumors of this twin turbo 530 hp v6 is true. This will be a step up from where they left off.

At least it's far better than what Acura is doing with their Type-S models. Acura really needs to step their game up and offer real performance on those special trims.

Infiniti's IPL may not have started out being the best it can be but it's on the right path. I think the Q60 is really where it will shine. I want to see more tech from the Nissan GT-R get trickled down to the IPL Q60.

I would be interested to see how the price would run for such a high powered output luxury coupe. I really hope they do make an impressive IPL line though not just the Q60. That would be a next step for them to do.

I see what you mean, just like how Dodge branched out "SRT" to be it's own brand and not just something attached to the end of some vehicle model name.

IPL vehicle with special badges and things to show it's a special line would also be cool.
I wonder what they would name it since "q" would no longer be needed..... IPL60?

The IPL60 idea would be nice to just separate them from the normal models. Like infiniti's own fleet of performance vehicles not just specific to the Q60 but maybe even to the QX suv to compete with the Bmw X M series.
That would be awesome, a performance model SUV from Infiniti. As cool as it is, it's too early for Infiniti, and I don't think their budget allows it.

Better off if they start with performance model sedans and coupes and slowly moving up to an SUV is the response to the sedan and coupe performance models are good.

Sadly, Lexus will do a performance model SUV before Infiniti will. I can already see a Lexus RX-F being very practical for Lexus
