I apologize if this has already been discussed but I searched and found nothing. I recently read a blog where a 3.0 owner was going to do some mods including a tune. Put it on a dyno to get a baseline to determine gains after mods and it dyno'd at 310 hp at the rear wheel which would equate to roughly 350 to 370 at the crank. Are Infiniti numbers based at wheel and not crank?

My gut tells me that Infiniti wanted to pull a BMW who also underrates their power figures from factory. The figures are at the crank as @Brokeas stated.

However, I don't think the red sport is underrated by much if any (for reliability reasons) and that much of the underrating is on the regular 3.0T instead. Reason being all the dyno numbers I've seen have indicated a greater disparity for the regular 3.0T & the red sport 3.0T vs the OEM numbers provided by Infiniti.

Just my 2c
