Advantages of Coupe Q60 over Sedan Q50?

So what are the advantages of the coupe (ie. Q60) over the sedan (ie. Q50)? Other than you think it looks better?

In general, there are advantages to the coupe over sedans due to its design. The coupe usually does perform better.

On the G37, the coupe version does have slightly more HP (about 2 extra), which can actually make a difference. On a straightaway, it can pull away from the sedan version.
The chassis and pillar points of the coupe version (Q60) makes it more rigid compared to the sedan. And I'd imagine the coupe weight slightly a bit less. So the handling might be better than the Q50 when you look at it that way.

Ultimately, it really does come down to preference.

I also like the coupe version better but I do recognize some of the pros the sedan version has. Rear passenger seats on the sedan add more comfort and functionality. The sedan also gets better mileage and mpg. The sedan is also cheaper.

But like I said, it all comes down to preference. Some people just like coupes better. Looks is a valid reason.
The coupe is just more performance oriented.

But I wouldn't get the coupe because of that. You buy the coupe because you want a sport coupe and you buy the sedan because you want a 4 door.
3k more for the coupe version is a lot. I thought coupes were cheaper than sedans. Why is it different with Infiniti?

No idea why it's like this, but is $3000 something to worry about on a car your already paying $40,000 for? $3000 more won't change your monthly payments by much, plus if your heart is set on a coupe, $3000 more wouldn't be something to worry about.

Depending what your main point of purchase is. for the Q60 is more for performance like cfrp said, no way in **** are those seats in the back comfortable for you passengers unless if you only use both the front seats. or you have dogs they can easily fit in the back no problem. Otherwise just get the Q50 sedan.

3000 spread across 1-3 years will not break you. I really doubt this would make a difference for ppl buying this car like RH said. Ppl who like the sedan will buy the sedan, ppl who like the coupe will buy the coupe.

exactly...

it's not like someone will not get the coupe because it;s $3000 more, that would be really stupid and really cheap.

i find that people who want coupes are really set on getting it and won't settle for a sedan
That is a good way to put it If you just divide up the 3000$ for the terms of lease or finance for the Q60 that is nothing. It wont be the reason not to get the coupe. At least not enough for me to say no. Even if it were 5k more because I am more interested and shopping for a coupe rather than a sedan.
I got the coupe because I was sick of always driving people (G37 sedan) from the office to lunch.

The coupe does feel slightly more agile. I love the way the coupe looks too. It’s a beauty.
