Infiniti started the year on a high note by achieving record sales for the brand in January. This is after setting a personal best of last year with more than 230,000 vehicles sold.
In January, the automaker sold a total of 11,558 vehicles in the U.S. which is an increase of 35.8% compared to last year. Globally, 18,847 vehicles were sold last month for a 20% increase with new records in almost every region.
“We appreciate our customers' trust in our brand, our products and our service, and we constantly strive to exceed their expectations,” said Roland Krueger, president of INFINITI Motor Company.
Good news for Infiniti fans as that means more money can be allotted to the research and development of future models.
Most of the sales numbers came from the Q50 and other CUV/SUV in the Infiniti lineup, but the Q60 performed fairly well with 732 cars sold. The only other time the Q60 came close to this number was back in 2013 with the model’s initial release. No surprise as the latest iteration of the Q60 badge is called the “best value GT car” by CarBuzz, especially the high horsepower Red Sport 400 variant.
Perhaps Infiniti will set a new record this month as well.
