I have a 2017 Q60 2.0t and slowly but surely i haven't gotten more and more disappointed with it. i was wondering if anyone else is feeling the same? Don't get me wrong the car is good but its just that good nothing else stands out.

The 2.0t was way too slow for my tastes. Just didn't have enough acceleration to put a smile on my face. Perhaps you should look into tuning yours to see if you can squeeze some more hp out of the 2.0t. I remember when I used to own a car that lacked acceleration and how miserable I eventually became driving it after a while, so I understand how you feel.

As for myself, other than the inTouch system lacking many features I had in my previous vehicle and the lack of storage in the car, I don't regret getting my Q60 3.0t at all. I plan on getting mine tuned to be closer to the RS 400's power output early next year as well.

My major issues are the horrendous back up camera, lack of ambience light and lack of features like apple car play or simply pandora. Also my auto start/stop alternates when the car is in park so like 15 seconds on 15 seconds off and so forth and finally my sunroof closes automatically when it wants when it doesn't it'll close half way then open and then i have to hold the button till it closes. Dealer says the Start/stop is normal(in my old car it would just stay on if the car was in park ) and the sunroof didn't act up when they test drove it.

Try getting a backward facing dash cam that will record the inside of the cabin. Then wait for the sunroof issue to occur. After it happens once, see if you can't catch it again so you have at least 2 instances recorded. Watch both and see if you did anything specific that may have triggered it....I'm thinking you didn't and that it's an improperly grounded cable or a short of some kind that's sending the wrong electrical impulses to the module that controls the sunroof.

Anyhow, you'll have video evidence to show the dealer and to open a case with Infiniti via the Infiniti Customer Assistance line. If this is a lease, you may not be able to get much for your troubles, but if you purchased the car, you may be able to file as Lemon after 3 times at the dealer or 30 days in the shop (best to read up on Florida's exact Lemon Law requirements).

Regarding the rear camera, Infiniti is still using the older set of cameras so they aren't as good as the newest ones. As such, there may not be much you can do unless the issue with the camera is not the quality but something wrong in the settings which you could try to adjust or get the dealer to adjust (contrast, positioning, etc).

If worse comes to worse, go down to South beach...leave the car running and the keys in your pocket and stand close by with the car unlocked...j/k. >:). Please don't do this...

You can buy an aftermarket Android module that works on the Q50 which doesn't require any wire cutting that will allow you to access Pandora, install apps and games, and so on. Or you can even get a device that will mirror your phone's display onto the screen. I haven't taken the plunge yet on one of these solutions but it's definitely on my to do list for next year.

you can probably wire a bit of ambiance lighting into the Q60, most likely the foot well area so the wires aren't as visible.

YES YES YES I fricken saved a google calendar to respond to this very statement. I f*Kin hate the backup camera, my girlfriends honda 2011 is so much better, and my bmw 528 2012 is AMAZING clear.

I do not understand HOW they could allow such sh*T allowed into a modern 2017 car.

I am done ranting

Are you in the fb Infiniti Q50/Q60 group by any chance? There's a guy on there that's tweaked the ECU supposedly to put out red sport levels of boost or more than it I believe. I think the Q60 he was working on has downpipes and a CBE but that's probably a good place to find someone who can program the ECU.

Well the thing is my car is a lease, do you know if the ECU tweaking can be put to stock afterwords?

Like for example I prefer an actual piggy back device to hook up into the engine because if my car gets into an accident, go for oil change, or w/e reason I can not take it to infiniti dealership because I would run the risk of them checking the ECU changes.
Unless I am going about this all wrong.

The ECU can be put back to stock but there will still be a flash record that Infiniti can pull up. They won't care as long as the car looks to be in good shape and is performing well....however, they may try to cause some heartburn over it.

I don't think I've seen very many piggy back devices for the Japanese OEM vehicles. Greddy probably may come to market with an option if the Q60/Q50 sells well which I think will be the case. I know they sell a piggyback system today that can be used across a bunch of motors....found it - GReddy: e-Manage Ultimate Advanced Piggy-Back ECU, GReddy, GR-15500501

Yeah there we go, figured record of flashing existed, which I want to avoid. Although have to read my contract to see if they state I cannot modify car, or if it cannot be returned modified. Two separate type of statements mean the world.

Anywho back to the subject about remorse.

I have remorse in not having RS version, because I could have waited 2 months but I did not.
Am I going to die? not really because torque increase is only to 350 from 300, that is a 15% increase. My thought is an upgrade is a 25% increase to feel the justification of an upgrade. However a 2.0t-->3.0t makes a large difference.
And with all the tuners coming out soon I know I will be able to get to 350 HP on the car/325 torque.

I KNOW somewill say but the RS tuned can gain more, but..you must remember, infiniti basically tuned the **** out of the 3.0 to be at 400HP/350. They added an extra intercooler and increased PSI. To increase PSI or anything else on a stage 1 tune would destroy the RS. It would require at least a stage 2/3 tuneup to change cat pipes, down pipe, and increase size of the radiator to keep temp down and gas outflow high.

Not sure these are my two cents.

I agree with you. I'm probably not going to communicate this too well but I think if you had a 3.0T from the sport vs the red sport and tuned them both to the limit (on stock internals, etc), the RS might come out ahead by a very small margin and that would be due to the additional cooling & the optical sensor. Structurally, the engines are the same and they have the same displacement as well. So in essence, a 3.0T sport should see better % gains when tuned while a RS should see some gains as well but not as much %wise.

All imho and my 2 cents as well. The RS is attractive to me because I won't touch the ECU...only mods this will get will be NISMO or Infiniti released official ones if I feel like it. Otherwise, it will stay stock.

I think some Q50 owners in California are going after Infiniti because Pandora is still missing. This was just last month so it may take some time before anything comes of it.

Well the Infiniti Intouch service is basically a complete embarrassment.

In the end you pay something like $15/month to be able to remote start your car.

You can't even get the status if the car is running or not. You can't even locate your car on a map like you can with BMW's app.

Give me an app that would notify me when someone approaches my car (has the sensors)... Or a car parks next to me, and then let me stream the video from the cars cameras. That I'd pay some real money for.

(Tired of morons parking next to me even though I park far away in general... Random dings on cars even where there are limited opportunities for it to have happened.)

Powering such sensors would be a limited drain on the battery - but you could let people enable/disable it.

I love this recommendation. I would pay good money for something like this being made available.
