Okay... So for anyone that has been following up until this point, I just recently got done with a Swift Spring install... Needless to say I am thoroughly impressed with the fact that these are just springs! BUT. I am having this strange height difference in the rear, I am not here to diagnose as I am not pulling the entire rear end apart to "play" detective into what this issue could be(Side note I am thinking there was some tampering from the previous owner as there were some oddities in my install). INSTEAD! I have decided to go coilovers, yes I know for those that follow I was very against doing this, well turns out I want a very specific ride height and honestly wouldn't mind the adjustability in ride comfort(dampers, namely going stiffer for improved driving dynamics). This all is a very long anecdote to get to this...

Coilovers.

RSR versus HKS? I am a Luxe, so no active suspension concerns here. @IridiumRS400 I would be interested in your opinion here as you have RSR but I have seen posts where the HKS seems to peak your interest(I know for you it looked like your determining factor here was your AWD). Anyone else that has these feel free to recommend/review as I would love to hear!

Very happy with my HKS coilovers. Great adjustability on the dampers and they were the only ones I could find that would allow for just a mild drop, as I really only wanted to lower the rear a bit so that it was the same as the front.

@NINaudio A few questions if I can... What is your opinion on the handling improvements? How is the ride quality, on soft and firm settings? Do you have pictures?

Looks like the HKS Hipermax IV GT became the Hipermax S last year, with some improvements:

HKS Hipermax S Coilovers - Infiniti Q60 CV37 2017+

Otherwise, the RS-Rs are a solid choice, too:

Infiniti Q60 3.0t Premium/Pure/Luxe RWD Sports-i Coilovers 2017+

With the C/Os, having the dampening rates match the spring rates makes a huge difference in ride quality, so you are on the right track, er, so to speak. LOL.
What is your opinion on the RSR's? If they had the HKS for AWD would you have gone with that, if so why?

I chose the RS-R because they are the only aftermarket C/O solution for the Q60 Sport & Red Sports w/Digital Dynamic Suspension (DDS).

Otherwise, it's a matter of taste. The RS-Rs have a 1 kg/mm stiffer front spring. HKS details their rebound and compression dampening specs (more than RS-R).

I think with a non-DDS Q, either RS-R or HKS is a solid choice. Don't cheap-out on C/Os - the level of effort for accessing the rear perches on the Q60 is quite a bit higher than a typical C/O installation (thanks Infiniti!).

Handling and comfort are light years better than stock. My shocks were getting old though, so that may have something to do with it. Ride quality is going to be entirely subjective and dependent on what you like. Personally I found 8 clicks away from full soft to be too floaty and not have enough body control for me. In total, there are 30 clicks of adjustment from full soft to full hard. For daily driving I tend to stick between 12-15 clicks from full soft. With the adjustable dampers you can essentially dial in how you want the car to ride. I couldn't imagine ever going full hard for daily use. I've never even wanted to try it.

I have my RS-R C/O base settings at 15 clicks (out of 36) from Full Soft. Since I have the Active C/Os, I can firm-up the dampening by changing the drive mode to Sport/Sport+, which makes a noticeable difference in road feel. The Active C/Os are a $1000 premium over the non-DDS C/Os.

Definitely not wanting to cheap out(Why BC's are out of the equation), since these are so close in price I guess it really is a personal preference. I definitely do not feel like getting into the rear for a third time(After C/O install) as it is a total PITA...

I wonder what the softer spring of the HKS paired with the stiffer damper will compare to the 10.5kg of the swift springs on stock shocks... I would imagine the HKS would still out perform as like you were mentioning earlier regarding pairing both together(spring rate and damper).

I wouldn't mind a smidge smoother that the HKS provides since I can adjust dampening, well possibly as I definitely do not want to lose handling characteristics. It would be nice if I could feel them back to back LOL

Any input on RSR when it comes to spring sag? I know their lowering springs have issues with that, but not sure on their C/O's..?

I think what I desire most here is the "best" part, but if they are both solid options I guess it really just is preference. Decisions decisions........ *Best in terms of quality and performance

That price difference almost makes me glad I don't have DDS, I do not know that I could handle losing that feature and would feel pushed to get those. But man $3k is pricy...

I've had the RS-R C/Os installed for 2 years - no sag noted.

$1100 for ONE?! Wow... I thought Lexus AVS at 400 a strut was crazy, turns out that's the normal price for the regular models of the Q... 😖
Yup, and that's why I think my price for a complete set of used Monroe C/Os off my '17 Red Sport is more than reasonable:

FS: OEM Monroe Coilovers w/DDS

RSR looks to have separate coils designated for the Luxe vs Sport so I think it should be okay. I think lol...
Now I see, RWD has those options, no such luck for AWD but the RS/sport version.

This honestly feels like another nightmare that will fill my garage space…….😊
When is this happening CQ? We have brakes to do as well and it’s starting to get warm. You know I’m out the moment I start sweating too much!

As just a little update... I ended up going with the Tein Flex Z C/O's. The HKS(my first pick) is backordered until possibly Juneish, also for anyone interested the RSR's are discontinued. I was looking between the Teins, BC's, and Ark's. I had a horrible experience with BC's so those were not my preference, and it was hard to find information on the Ark's(spring rate and what not). After talking with my performance shop here they seem to think the Tein's were going to be the best bet for what this platform is. I had Tein's back when I had my RX8 and those were by far my favorite set(and surprisingly cheapest) of C/O's I've owned. I am a little nervous as the price seems "to good to be true", but my shop seems to have a very positive opinion of them and considering my experience I am looking forward to them as well. Anyone have a set of these on a Q60? Found a few on a Q50 and they seemed very pleased with them.

*I am pretty content with the handling of the Swift Springs, though I wouldn't mind a bit of improvement in dampening. With that said I think the Tein's will achieve that while still maintaining ride quality as well according to what I have heard.
