What will pricing be like for the Infiniti Q60 Sports Coupe and Convertible?
I don't even know since the nissan skyline is already like $100K the infiniti should be more if the rumor is true and have 500hp for the IPL. If i really had to guess it would be closer to $115-125k. But the previous IPL models did have a price hike like that but then again it didn't go up that much in horsepower either. What do you guys think a 2015 500HP IPL Q60 performance model will cost?
Going from the current G37 coupe to G37 IPL is just an $11 000 difference. If the Q60 IPL is really as high as $100k, thats a huge premium over the regular Q60. Not sure if they can justify that.I don't even know since the nissan skyline is already like $100K the infiniti should be more if the rumor is true and have 500hp for the IPL. i haven't heard anything about an IPL Q50 but since they didn't mention anything as crazy as a 550HP IPL Q50 and just a 550HP IPL Q60, the IPL Q50 might just be like what the IPL G37 is with identical modifications and price hike.If this is true with the price hike of the IPL Q50 model it will be unattainable for the average g37 owner to make the jump. With this price margin it will cater to a different crowd but the numbers will yield less for sales though.
Are you basing that info only the previous IPL models? I have a feeling that the IPL line for infiniti will be changing. Well they need to because those slight changes for the IPL G37 wasn't sufficient for the cost and the performance line itself. IPL had nothing on the M series performance line from bmw and lets not even go to mercedes.Going from the current G37 coupe to G37 IPL is just an $11 000 difference. i was looking at the infiniti usa g37 configurator and the price difference he mentioned was what is saw and you're right the IPL package amounted be being just a slight change when compared to other performance trims. Definitely not like an AMG or M vehicle but more like what comes with a GS350 F-Sport, BMW M540, etc.Are you basing that info only the previous IPL models? I think after sebastian vettel took took the Q50 hybrid for a spin Infiniti worked closely with his suggestions. One thing for sure is that since the M35H and the power it generated for a hybrid changed the way people see hybrids.i was looking at the infiniti usa g37 configurator and the price difference he mentioned was what is saw and you're right the IPL package amounted be being just a slight change when compared to other performance trims. they are making a serious move to get more involved in performance, this thread: Infiniti Confirms Hybrid Sportscar provides some good insight on the future of Infiniti and IPL.
Not only that but there has been hybrid powertrains in professional racing and even higher performance production vehicles and thats where it would have originally changed people views on hybrids. I believe the M35h entered the game kinda late.I think after sebastian vettel took took the Q50 hybrid for a spin Infiniti worked closely with his suggestions.
