Hello all! Have a ‘new to me’ ‘17 Q60 Silver Sport, 40k miles. Picked it up as a project car.

So the plans for it, think about those really cool GT3/GT4 race cars. I’m turning mine into a Time Attack/SCCA/NASA/GLTC full track car.

If you frequent any of the track day companies in the south east, you may start seeing it starting spring of 2023. Barber, AMP, Road Atlanta, NCM, Ozark International, VIR, etc.

Starting slowly, I’ve swapped out the rear end suspension with SPL traction/camber/toe bars. I’ve also installed AMS intakes and Technafit SS brake lines w/Motul RBF600. To be installed: Boosted6 resonated full down pipes, TSW Kemora wheels in 18x9.5 and 10.5 (+22), z1 oil cooler.

Track setup: 18x10 Enkei NT03RRs (+38) w/Falken Azenis RT660 in 275/35 square, Carbotech RT10/12 pads, titanium brake shims.

Future upgrades: full aero (NineLives Swan neck wing, front splitter), CD009 Manual swap, stripped interior with CageKits road race cage, Wavetrac LSD, A2A conversion (probably B&C). End goal hp/tq, 500/500.

I welcome comments/questions/concerns on my mental health.

Glad to be here. @Track_Q60S on IG.

Before you turn it into a full track car, take a look at my post history here and on the Q50 site. Until the tuning software gets better for us track people, I don't think this car can be a full track car without disabling more systems than I want to.
Few questions for you, XP12 in the front and XP10 for rear? I am curious what alignment specs you end up with?
With a more complete tuning option, I think the Q60 would make a great track car and hope we can get there soon.

I am heading to VIR in April for more HPDE time, can't wait :)

Glad to hear there is another Q60 who actually tracks their car. The FB group is kinda worthless. Yes, XP12 front and XP10 rear. Full disclosure, I also have a ‘12 G37 sedan that I track regularly that is getting relegated to daily status since I got the Q. I used the Carbotech pads on it (as well as some z1 two piece front rotors I forgot to mention earlier). Since it’s my daily, I just use factory alignment setup. I’m starting from factory alignment on the Q and will adjust from there. My G37 is Ecutek tuned (93 and E85) and FBO.

The first track outing with the Q will be mid May at a local track.

I’ve got the full parts list on the manual swap and have already got a handful of parts on the way.
Never thought to post a pic of the car but I will in this

I don't know how this would integrate with the manual transmission, but I'd also recommend a 1-piece driveshaft (D/S), either Al or CF. I have the Inland Empire version on my '17 Q60 AWD. The stock 2-piece D/S was already liberating grease from its universal joints when I installed mine 3 years ago:

Inland Empire CZP 4" Aluminum Driveshaft w/ Foam, Automatic Transmission AT RWD 3.7, 3.0t - Infiniti Q50 14+ V37 / Q60 17+ CV37 3737-AF one piece single red sport silver sport luxe - Concept Z Performance

Depending on the output shaft config, you could contact Inland Empire directly for any interface concerns.

Those carbotech pads are great. I ran 10's all around on my last track day.

I applaud you Sir for the very keen eye! I left out some deets intentionally for the fear of flaming. This Q60 has lived a very ‘interesting’ life before coming into my possession. First the mods it had/has on it: full orange leather interior (front and rear seats, armrest, door panels, etc), starlight fiber optic headliner (incl’d sunroof cover), blue woven cf interior trim (could be factory, not sure), cf mirror caps, cf spoiler, Burger Tuning intakes, 20” Redsport wheels, some no name axle back exhaust. Previous owner spent some money on the leather and headliner.

Now for the interesting previous life. Found it on a Copart website in Homestead Florida. Based on the history, it ‘runs and drives’, had 40k miles, and looked pretty good despite having a salvage rebuildable and previously stolen title. My wild hair idea of turning it into a racecar was conceived and born. Pulled the trigger on getting it. Had to go through a broker but the price was right. Car was delivered to me w/o keys and in a fully inoperable state (dead dead battery too). Cargo driver said they put it on his truck by way of forklift and gave him a keyfob that didn’t work and had an uncut key. We rolled it off the trailer. After some back and forth with dmv and Infiniti (and a new battery), had a mostly functional car.

Salvage history includes a front impact w/o airbag deployment in SoCal, was repaired, sold at auction, wound up in Miami, was stolen there, insurance paid it out, then police recovered.
That’s the story.

Ahaha oooh the vicious flaming 😂 Everyone’s cool on here so you won’t get any of that. Oh man ORANGE!!! I knew I saw some color other than black/white but it didn’t quite look red to me. YOU GOTTA POST SOME PICS OF THE INTERIOR!!!! I’m dying to see it!!! Funny I just started my hunt last week to find an installer to do starlight headliner but I can find anyone who’s willing to do the sunroof shade. They keep saying it’s impossible because the fiber optics will get caught up but I’ve seen pictures of people with it done. There was a OEM blue/black woven cf interior trim I think on 2020’s so that may have been sourced from another car.

They put it on the truck with a Forklift!? Jesus I don’t even know how that would be done without crushing underneath the car. Oh man sounds like a long road. So you got new keys from the dealership? Did it start right up once you got the new battery in it?

Sounds like it’s lived a crazy life so far. Someone in Miami saw that sweet orange interior and couldn’t help themselves haha

Since it’s going full racecar, starlight headliner is for sale!! So is full leather interior. It’ll have two racing seats, and a full cage so only think I’ll keep is the upper part of the dash. I’ll 3D print brackets and holders for every switch and such. DM me and we can discuss the headliner. Here is a few leather pictures and leather.

In the Audi world, it's called Signal Orange, and it is an exclusive interior color:

Signal orange. Got it. I’ll make sure and call it that when it goes up for sale. I’ve seen the q60 blood red seats, door panels, arm rest, rear seats and such selling on EBay for $2500. I can see selling mine for that much. Honestly if I can get enough out of selling them for a pair of race seats, that’s all I care about. Thanks for the info!

Uuugh it’s Gorgeous!!! Didn’t know any cars came with factory orange besides Lamborghini. Is that your new car!? Of course you got the crazy cool interior you son of a gun!!
Nope, not my car - another Audizine member selling his used RS5 a few months back.

Mine is "in-transit from the factory", or 1 to 1 1/2 months out from getting delivered to the dealer.
