Not sure if this is the right place on this forum for this but…..2017 Q60 RS AWD. Just purchased catless lower downpipes and need a good shop for the install. I’m tuned by rt tuning, who are awesome, but they want a hefty price to install and I’d like to see what other shops cost. Just outside of north east Philly and don’t mind traveling a little bit if anyone has any shops to recommend

Any exhaust shop should be able to install them. But if you're going from stock LDP's to catless you're more than likely going to need a retune, so I'd consider RT if they can do it all at once.

Im not sure about the retune since I have a tune from rt already and I see plenty of guys run ldp without tunes to begin with. The rt guys are awesome but they want $460 to install the ldp which only cost me $405 to buy. Lol. I’ve checked with a few exhaust shops and no one will do it because it’s deleting cats, they said epa will “come down on them” for deleting factory cats. I’ll most likely just have to suck it up and go to rt but I figured I’d check here to see if anyone knows of a shop to do it cheaper

You're correct in that you don't need a tune to run LDP's, BUT you're removing the largest restriction on the factory exhaust and getting retuned after that will definitely show gains versus not retuning.

If no exhaust shop is willing to touch it then it looks like you're left looking into race shops which are going to have a higher hourly rate than an exhaust shop anyway. Have you tried a regular mechanic shop that you trust?

Yea I totally understand the retune. However, with my current tune I’m running 17psi and the only next step is to jump up to the max recommended for these turbos of 19psi. I already had these turbos replaced at 27k miles because the guy that had the car before me was running 19psi and torched both turbos (previous owner actually had the car built by rt tuning and then returned it to stock before trading it in). Luckily the dealer I bought it from replaced both turbos under the remainder of the factory warranty. I’m really not looking to push these stock turbos to their limit again because the extra hp gains isn’t worth risking blowing up both turbos again. Trust me these turbos will not last running 19psi so I figured I’d would take the extra hp gains and decrease the back pressure and stay at 17psi

One of my stock turbos lasted 33k miles before the center bearing developed some slop and allowed the impeller to contact the compressor housing, resulting in a mild whistle under-boost. I was running a 1.3 bar map with FI Full Catted DPs & FI CBE. The tune was on-board since 14k miles, with about 6k miles before that on a JB4.

Four days before the Powertrain Warranty was going to expire, both turbo AND the engine were replaced. Infiniti replaced the engine because they were concerned that metal bits were contaminating the intake tract, so engine replacement it is!

Right now it has the stock tune, FI Catted DPs, Megan Y-pipe, and stock CBE. And yes, it is for sale, as I have a '23 Audi RS5 Coupe w/Competition Package on-order, due to be delivered in late April.

Yea the more digging you do, the more you see turbo failure from this platform. Especially when modified but you even see it happen on stock vehicles. I really enjoy this platform but this is the second one I’ve had and both had turbo issues, I’m done after this one. Lol
