New to Me 2020 Q60 RS AWD

Hi all. New owner coming from a 370z and loving the car so far. I'm looking to do a few bolt-on mods. Don't want to void warranty, as it calls for Infiniti approved parts only. Probably will go with the AMS CAI for starters. Any suggestions? Also any thoughts on the following Infiniti exhaust? I cannot find anything online about it. Part #: B0100-Q60CB

That's a re-badged Borla cat-back:
https://www.borla.com/products/infiniti-q60-cat-back-exhaust-system-140703

Sold here for a slight discount:
2017-2022 Infiniti Q60 Sport / Red Sport 400 / Cat Back Exhaust / S-Type

One key difference is the Infiniti mid-pipes do not have the resonators, whereas the Borla system has these small "Harmonizer" chambers in the mid-pipes.

Welcome
Welcome!! Funny I just came across this exhaust last week and was mindblown to see an Infiniti licensed CBE and when I was up at my dealership for something unrelated I asked my service guy about it and he basically told me I was nuts until I made him look it up haha. None of them heard anything about it. Would love to hear one in person but might be hard if no one seems to be pushing them.

Well, there's this from @Starkmad83:

Borla s type exhuast
Oh Sh*t!! Drive by sounds pretty good!! Looks like he had to add resonators though to get rid of that raspy smokers cough to it 😂

Warranty doesn't work like that. You can do whatever mods, then have a failure, then the dealership has to be able to prove said part caused the damage to deny that individual claim. A cbe cannont cause any kind of damage, so any cbe is warranty friendly. They can't say your exhaust caused the engine to blow for example, but if you're tuned they definitely could blame that. This is federal US law, so if you're outside the stated ignore what I said but if you're here you're protected.

The dealership can refuse to do warranty work. What are you going to do, call the warranty police? You can always hire $$$ a lawyer.
FWIW, I've had my Q since Dec 2016. Had FI LDPs & CBE, then AMS HE, then JB4, then FI Catted DPs & Ecutek tune. Rolled through Infiniti service for diff & transfer case fluid changes, transmission fluid change, warranty work on both window seals, and then about 1 month before the powertrain warranty expired, I noticed a faint whistle under boost.

Flashed back to stock and took it in. Turbo impeller rubbing on the compressor housing was the cause for the whistle. Dealer replaced BOTH turbos and the engine, because "we've seen this before", as the impeller rub can release metal bits into the intake.

Now, I took off the TurboSmart BOVs and Mishimoto OCC before I took it in for the whistle under boost, so combined with flashing back to stock, aside from the FI Catted DPs & CBE, I didn't give my dealer an obvious reason to deny the warranty. In addition, I know my SA very well, and he knows I take good care of my Q, so that may help, too.

Most of the time they fold as soon as you push back, they assume people will just accept it. If it's a big repair like an engine a draft letter from a lawyer is more than worth the money imo.

There's plenty of members here that claim they've raised **** with everyone at the dealership and corporate only to have warranty work denied.
If it comes to proving a case in court it's going to be $$$.

Did you bring it in with the AMS intakes or did you take those off as well? I'm hearing a slight whistle and thinking about asking them to look at it, which WA dealer did you go to?

My AMS intakes were "INFINITI" badged - no issues.

Infiniti of Lynnwood. Ben is the SA that wrote it up. Otherwise, Joel is also recommended if Ben isn't available.

My dealer change the engine and driver turbo with mods on. It really boils down to dealer and how they fight for you. Also i had a lawyer ready to go lemon! FOR FREE. Now i have the one turbo they didnt change starting to whine and whistle.
