Hey, I recently changed my brakes myself. I’ve done them before but this time when I change my brakes, my brakes were squishy… so I bleed my brakes (common sense) I did the front and the back bleeder valves but my brakes are still squishy. Well, let me say it’s squishy then when you get to a certain point it gets medium, not hard but medium. I have to pump my brakes to get a hard feel. it’s probably common sense, but do I need a full flush? I have the Akebono brakes so all i needed to do is pull the pins out and just replace the brakes so I don’t know how air got into the system or do I need to replace my brake lines.

Sounds like there's still air trapped in the brake system.

I just didn’t want to spend over $100 and still have the same problem
If you still have the issue when you take it to the dealer or a shop, have them confirm the brakes feel squishy before they attempt service. If the tech feels the same thing you do, then ask them what they're going to do to fix it, how much it will cost, and if they will guarantee it or money back

@Q60Duke - how did you bleed your brakes? With an assistant? Or self-bleed by pressurizing the reservoir? Did you bleed the farthest one (right rear) first? The bleeding order should be RR, LR, RF, then LF.

with assistance… pump the brakes 10 times then hold the brake pedal, then open the bleeder valve farthest away from the brake reservoir and repeat 2 times on each bleeder valve because there’s two of them on one side so of a told of 4 times.
