So I ordered a pair of rear Stoptech Street Pads off of the Z1 website for my 2019 Q with Akebono brakes. Part number: 308.13470
When I opened the box, I noticed the pads were encased in a plastic with "Posi Quiet" stamped all over it. This threw me off immediately since I know for a fact that Posi Quiet pads and Stoptech Street pads are NOT the same pad. I called Z1 to inform them that I received the wrong pads and they mentioned to me that ALL of their Stoptech Street pad stock have the Posi Quiet pads in them. I knew this was a mistake on Stoptech's part so I gave Stoptech a call and spoke with a technical advisor. Sure enough, he spilled the beans and told me that some higher ups in the company decided to throw Posi Quiet pads in the Stoptech Street boxes. Perhaps because of supply shortages of the actual Stoptech Street pads. Despite the fact that he works at Stoptech, he did confirm that what they are doing is very wrong and deceiving.
With that said, can you guys recommend a pad just like the Stoptech Streets that I can go with? These pads were awesome. Sadly, I now need to find an alternative.
