So I've been rocking the JB4 on Map 6 (+7psi) for 10 months now and it's honestly been great. I live in CA so 91 Octane is all we've got available unfortunately. I've been able to beat, keep up with, and surprise a lot of unsuspecting cars. But I've began to notice how inconsistent that the JB4 can be at times. Last night my buddy who owns a bone stock right hand drive MK4 Toyota Supra and I were doing a few roll races. I've beaten his car a handful of times, usually from a 30 roll or maybe even a 40 roll (ITS A BONE STOCK SUPRA, RELAX FAN BOYS). But last night he just absolutely destroyed me! Stock MK4 Supras came out the factory with 310 whp at most and he was able to out-pull my FBO Q60. This should not be possible lol. So after this experience I decided that its probably time for me to get a full fledge tune from ECUTEK. Probably going to hit up Specialty Z. Just thought I'd share this and would like to hear any of your guy's stories that made you realize the JB4 will only take you so far.

Hello @FenyrQ60. Aside from getting smoked this time from the Supra, I'm curious how if you've been logging with the JB4? Would this help confirm what you think about the JB4 inconsistencies? I have a 2017 q60 premium as well, FI catback, FI LDP, and JB4 on 93 octane. I have on order the AMS heat exchanger and intake. I will be running these for a bit with my JB4 and am curious if others have similar experiences with this setup and the JB4. I too will eventually upgrade to an UpRev or Ecutek tune but wonder if it will be sooner if I hit a wall with the inconsistencies. Thanks for sharing.

My data logs have always came back looking good. Although the JB4 might be inconsistent when it comes to doing hood rat stuff with my friends its always been consistently safe; if thats what you're wondering.

Yes, thank you. Since I've just recently put on the catback and LDP with the jb4, I want to feel it out a bit then add the intake and heat exchanger. I'll obviously check for myself,/ log but just want to do the right thing when it comes to my car and being safe. Inevitably though, the jb4 is just a boost controller only and is limited to that (still very cool though). If I want more power (yes), I'll need a proper tune.

I noticed you have blow off valves to protect the turbo, any reason you went with HKS vs another brand?

My transmission is slipping now. Do you think it’s a computer problem or actually clutches burnt
Change the fluid and see if it smells burnt.

Perform a drain & fill on the transmission, this should help & then monitor how it behaves. I changed mine out @ 36k & it was a world of difference in these “non serviceable” transmissions as stated by Infiniti lol Every 30k & you are golden!
