For those of you who are looking to enhance your aural experience whilst driving, Infiniti is now offering a new Sport Exhaust Kit for the 2017 Q60 Coupe and the 2016-2017 Q50 Sedan.

According to Carscoops, the new exhaust kit is available for every configuration of the Q60 and Q50 including the 2.0t, the 300hp 3.0t, the 400hp Red Sport. Even the Q50 Hybrid can be fitted with the sport exhaust.

The kit weighs around 16 pounds less than the Q60’s stock system thanks to its polished T-304 stainless steel construction, but this is without mufflers. On the Q50, owners will find a smaller weight savings of 9lbs. What makes it even better if how easy installation is. No additional modifications are needed and it bolts directly onto the factory hanger locations.

"The Infiniti Q50 and Q60 are great driver's cars, and we know some of those drivers want to take performance to the next level, which is why we've introduced these Sport Exhaust Kits," said Andrew Speaker, director of Infiniti Aftersales.

Dealerships nationwide will sell the Sport Exhaust Kit without mufflers for $589 plus installation. For the Q50, it’ll set you back $681 plus installation. Of course the most important part is the sound and Infiniti has uploaded a sample on SoundCloud.

Not sure I like the sound while it's at an idle. Maybe it's just me but I'd prefer a deeper growl than what the Sport Kit provides.

For $589 without mufflers, I'd rather look at what the aftermarket has to offer. I'm sure there will be people who gets the factory option as it is convenient, but there are better options out there.

2500 RPM howl

Have the new factory kit ($680) with the small mufflers on my Red Sport 400. Sounds good at idle and amazing at high RPM, however, at 2500 RPM it sets up an unpleasant howl that resonates through the cabin. Going install some sound deadening materiel in the trunk to see if this helps.
