Tough to choose either one, both seems great to me. Im impressed with what they did with the RC.

 

Interior on the Lexus looks better to me but this is a redesigned lexus. Im sure Infiniti has something in store to rival the Lexus nicely

i think the q60 edges out by having a 6MT

 

We will have to see the new Q60 because the current one looks ancient compared to the RC350.

If the RC raises the benchmark over the IS the Q60 is going to have even stiffer competition.

 

Now I wonder if the RC is something Infiniti cares about competiting with or if they want to go a different route which still is good

I gotta say, I'm liking those power numbers for the RC350 at lower RPMs.

It's kinda unfair to compare the two on the basis of looks. The Q60 is still based on a design backbone that's easily 6 years old while the RC is using Lexus' brand new design language and updated technology.

 

Lexus V6 is a very competent V6. Doesn't eat as much gas or oil as the Nissan V6

 

Lexus/Toyota has been good with getting good fuel efficiency from it's engines, but those Nissan V6's DO sound good

 

Looking at all the latest information on the RCF i really hope that infiniti is also planning to go big with it's q60, although i'm a big infiniti fan i'll admit that lexus did an awesome job with RC

Just realized the RC350 base model's grille has a piece of plastic going through it and not the full uncovered grille I thought it had. I take it back, the front is fugly.

 

I'm curious about the weight. I know the RC350 is quite heavy and I am wondering if the Q60 will be lighter.

 

The RC 350 coupe isn't bad looking in the front but I'd rather go with the 300 hp Q60 with an estimated combined fuel economy rating of 23 mpg. Pretty good numbers and the 400hp variant would beat the RC 350 hands down.

 

With either a 7 speed automatic or 6 speed manual transmission, the Infiniti Q6 may pull over potential buyers who was looking at the RC350 but wanted it with MT.

Satisfy both types of drives while the RC350 is auto only. sure manual is slowly dying off but there are still a lot of enthusiasts out there.

Lol, seems like Infiniti designed the Q60 specifically for you or their design team knew what the targeted market wants. I'll personally go auto but hey, not judging those who likes sticks in their hands.

 

I personally love all the lexus models.

However, it's so common out there now.

I love the new 2016 infiniti q60, totally would get this over the rc350.

But I really like the unique color the rc350 has. It's very bold and fresh.

It's a tough decision between the two.

I guess for me the tie breaker would be test driving them both!

 

Which unique color are you referring to? Maybe the Q60 will come with some special model specific paint color too.

 

I believe the RC F does not have that piece of plastic running through it.

 

Lexus went with a sporty look for the RC 350 and overall it's not too bad but they seem to think sticking plastic where it's not needed makes it sporty.

That rear black plastic bit under the headlight doesn't seem like they perform a function. Just there for aesthetics and it's not that great looking either.

Just means it hits it's peak power at the 7000rpm mark on the power band

 

Q60 is indeed the cleaner looking of the two. But even the lower portion of the rear bumper can be better designed. If they're really serious about bringing some high performance Q60 to market, then we could see that lower portion be revised completely, aggressive diffuser and all.

 

Does the Q60 have diffusers? Or they're just not very prominent and I can't see them.

 

I don't think I saw any on the Q60 at the auto show. Went back to look at the closeup shots I have of the rear and there aren't any. You're going to have to add your own but the tail won't looks as clean once you do.
