Well the time has come! My new 2017 Pure White Q60 RS AWD arrived last night! My first impressions were awesome. I love the handling, power and torque. Coming from various NA 3.7 VQ motors it is quite the improvement.

My next impression was the quality of materials. What an upgrade from the previous Coupe series. The plastics feel much nicer along with the quality of leather.

Overall I am very pleased and can't wait to see what the future holds for this one!

Specs:
2017 Q60 Red Sport AWD
Pure White
Monaco Red Semi-aniline Leather Interior
Silver Optic Fiber Trim
Premium Plus Package
Illuminated Kick Plates
Cargo Package

So far I tinted the windows, sides and rear, with 30% ceramic tint. (Always a must when I get a new car)

Next I just ordered Sott Gloss Carbon Fiber vinyl that I will be using to wrap the roof. I also ordered Gloss Black vinyl to wrap the chrome window trim as well as the grille.

Here are some pictures thus far

Next to my sales man's Dynamic Sunstone Red. Pictures do not do this color justice

I just cant decided if I want Red on Red or White on Red. These pictures of the exterior make it even harder to chose! Nice whip man :)

CF roof will look amazing on that white. What about the other little chrome bits? CF? Black?

I plan to wrap the grille, fog light trim, window trim and possibly side trim in gloss black. I'm going to leave the grill emblem and Infiniti emblem on the back chrome.

I plan to have the roof and mirrors as the only Carbon Fiber for now. Maybe a spoiler down the road when they become available.

I believe the pure white does not have sparkles in it like the majestic white. Dont quote me on it though. Can anyone confirm?

Broxx, perhaps you could share your 'special' perspective since it appears you are coming from a Nismo 370 Z. I am patiently waiting for the Sunstone Red that was 'ordered' in mid-August. Arrival is soon, they hope. I sold my 370Z Touring/Sport to move on to the Q60. I have had 3 other Z's in addition to the 370. After some miles on your beautiful new Q, perhaps you could share that insight. Thanks!

Yeah definitely!

The first thing I immediately noticed was the cabin noise. Coming straight from the Z it is MUCH quieter. The Z is very noise on the highway and even around town. My next impression was the interior quality. Much nicer plastics and leathers used throughout the whole car. My only con for the interior would be the Climate/Radio screen. It will definitely take some time getting used to. I liked the layout of the previous G/Z Nav screens much better.

Performance wise, I have no complaints. The throttle response is great, as well as the trans and shift response. Of course there is a little turbo lag but nothing to complain about. A big improvement over the NA 3.7 motors. The torque feels must stronger than the previous models. The handling is nice and feels right for the car. My Z was on coilovers with wider Pilot Super Sports and I absolutely loved the handling. If I end up lowering the Q and putting different wheels on it, I'm sure that will greatly improve.

Overall I am very pleased. A huge improvement from the previous G Coupe. It feels like a true luxury sports car.

I never had a 370z but I definitely investigated them prior to my 2014 purchase and I got the impression the 370 was more of a sports car/sports coupe where most of the money going into the car is going into the performance aspect of it where it sacrifices a bit on comfort and style for light weight and fast. The Infiniti coupes are more luxury coupes with a lot more of the price tag going toward style and comfort amenities, leather, better sound systems, extra sound dampening material to make the ride quieter, more package features that don't really affect performance and may affect it negatively in some ways but make it all around better to drive, not to mention all the extra standard and available safety features you just can't get on the Z.

I don't want to over do it with carbon fiber vinyl. I would do the grill and maybe fog light trim but the vinyl I use is very thick and would make it challenging.

I think the black accents will flow nicely.

Congrats Broxx, it looks great, but show us that red interior!! Now you and I can wait on the lowering products to come out to give these things the proper look hahah!

Same here, i'm patiently waiting for someone to put air bag coilovers on one of these it's just the sort of thing it deserves but of course not for everyone and not something we'll see that often.

Better start keeping an eye out on brands that make lowering springs. I think H&R Springs will be one of them for us.

A little update on my Q. Took a few last shots of it being stock.

I ordered the OEM Black Sport Grill as well as Gloss black vinyl to wrap the window trim and other bits and pieces.

Carbon Fiber mirror caps and Gloss Carbon Fiber vinyl for the roof are also on the way :D

Enjoy

A little update.

I got the roof wrapped in gloss Carbon Fiber as well as the side vents. Currently working on installing the black grill. Excuse all of the dirt lol.

So quick question... Is there any small amounts of white showing around the edges of the wrap? I had my roof just wrapped and the installer told me that the front and back because of the rubber and small working area that it was very difficult. He also said that white is the worst because its so bright. I am just curious to know your thoughts as mine looks good from a driving or walking around position but if you stop and "inspect" it you can see a few areas of white, like a sliver of it close to the rubber seal.. Just wondering if I am being picky or maybe he just wasn't that good. This was my first experience with wrapping so please let me know. Thanks!!

I got the grill put on yesterday as well.

The install was really straightforward. I've taken the bumper off of Z's and G37's and it was almost identical. I followed the write up for the Q50 just to be sure. Took me roughly 2.5 hours but could easily been done in less.

I love how it turned out. Now i just need to wrap the window trim and CF mirrors.

Under the knife

Broxx - Which write-up did you follow? I have been vacillating on letting ONEighty NYC have some fun with my headlights, but as they are in NY and I am in CO, I have been hesitant to attempt a headlight removal. Based on your pics, it does not look like the headlights would be much more effort beyond the front clip removal. You sound pretty experienced, so I would be curious on your feedback - especially since I have not pulled any body parts off a car since the 80s.

TIA.
