This has been the rumor since earlier this year. Another reason I decided to finally buy one. I think that depending on the success of the Nissan Z with the manual, we could see a Mustang like return of the Q60 possibly as a special edition to test the market. At least I hope so.

Lots of conjecture and speculation from several online sources but no real tangible evidence to support your opinion.
Best to wait on saying goodbye and putting a nail in the Q60"s coffin until you hear directly from the horses mouth (INFINITI)

 

I haven't heard anything soild.... Right now the focus is getting QX60s made. Those bring in the $$$. Now next Q50.. That's a different story....

I think both Q50 and 60 need to go away for some time and re-launch with a brand new design to stay competitive in the market. This requires money though, something I’m not sure Nissan has. On top of that, Nissan has always been a value brand to me; if they re-launch these models, the price surely will be more and the value proposition will be less.

 

I agree with you about a new design being needed to stay competitive, I also think it's a shame. I watched a lot of videos and read many articles before buying my Q and the one theme I noticed was underrating or bashing the car. I've seen things like the steering feels numb (even in the none DAS model), the brakes need improving and the dash should be digital. I personally think it is and has always been the right mixture of luxury and sport and I like all of those things about the Q that others say "need to be improved". If Infiniti does a re-design it will more than likely make the cars electric or hybrid, which could be a good thing. Or it could end up like the NSX, also rumored to be discontinued soon.

 

The Q60 is the only vehicle they have that interest me. Will buy something else if they discoutinue it. The fact that they haven't refreshed or given in any improvements and this is the 6 year of this model is very sad.

Ok it’s not 100 percent Q60 dying out and It’s not written in stone but the Q60 I would say is on borrowed time. Since 2019 or so I kept thinking when is this car going to change ? I only mean small ones because that car is beautiful !! The low front , that small hood front crease, that Grill!! , daytime lights , blinker turns amber, love that car.

Maybe Infiniti decided to let it run it’s course without investing in it and maybe due to poor sales they knew ahead of time it will be a 6 year run.
Example ? We had the very impressive design 2003 FX35 then, 2007 I saw a interior change , then 2009 grill change plus rear of car and interior was big change so we bought a loaded 2009 Fx35 and still have. I love that car!! Power folding mirrors , front crash , rear detection , cool seats and DVD player folds down from roof , cool seats. That car still looks great years later. 2012 grill changed again , 2017 last year grill and wheels and interior changed. So many continue changes throughout the run

Maybe for Infiniti they want to move to electric or hybrid vehicles. They did everything right with new QX60! Has the boxy Range Rover look , A very nice screen , leather trim color options , the seats ! Chrome exhaust look, They went back to their roots of beautiful design and caught up with todays technology and did big and small things right. Easy to get to third row plus knee and head room. Just many updated tech/ design changes like the Germans.

Maybe if Q60 is no more they will move to some new wave design concept future looking , much longer and looks like nothing they have now and will blow our minds. That’s exactly what they need, long curvy no outside mirrors big concept looking electric car.

Now I love our Q60 except no power folding mirrors and night time lighting. but compared to other vehicles in its class sales have struggled plus it’s just not a high volume seller , maybe most coupes are not. We had a Acura Legend Coupe , a G35 Coupe , I did not see a lot on the road when we owned those cars.

I really like the new Q55 2021, the rear 😍!! my only disappointment was the front was the same as the older models? , the rear sold me on it , the interior not so much just ok , cvt not so much but I still really like it. Was very happy for Infiniti coming out with new models but I think front should not have looked exactly like older models.

Infiniti cars are different and crazy reliable so I plan to stay with them.

 

Have you ever seen the show Auto Mondial? On the show intro there is a white Infiniti concept sitting in the desert. This concept is not like the ‘Black’ concept Q60 but what looks like an EV. Could that possibly be a replacement for our Q60? I found this pic to show what I was talking about.

THe Tesla S Sedan is now 10 years old and lets see how they do with their next gen. Already S Sedan onwers are moving off to Porsche and other mfg's. Like who is their right mind would buy another S sedan when it looks like there old vehicle LOL

 

Anything looks better than Tesla.... Other than the roadster, I don't think they have anything that actually looks good.


Infiniti has been hitting it with the concepts the last few years. QX60, QX50, Q60, QX80.

I'm sure what ever we offer electric, will look good and perform for it's price range. Thing with electric cars is if you go to expensive you gotta back it with range and power, too cheap and it comes with mediocre performance. They need to find the sweet spot. Hopefully the I power tech performs well. 5 gallons of gas with 350 range for the base level the. A full electric verison that gets 350 range as well. Something like that between 45k to 60k and they can make it work.

I've had my Q60 since December 2016, and what I appreciate is all the aftermarket support for the V37/CV37 platforms. The mod levels are as deep as your pockets. Bigger turbos, bigger CACs, bigger HEs, bigger injectors, higher-flow HPFPs & LPFPs, bolt-on DPs & C-B exhausts, more-stout transmissions, Al or CF driveshafts, front & rear LSDs, adjustable suspension hardware, etc.

 

I have owned a 2004 FX35, a 2004 G35 (stick shift), 2009 and 2011 G37 convertibles and now have this 2018 Q60s RS 400 awd . The Q60s is by far the best looking, quickest, and most enjoyable car I have ever owned. Whenever I am out I get so many comments always good. I have read a lot of negative words from handling to ride to comfort. I think it dose all of that great. Had to have turbos replaced recently, and had a loaner a 2022 300TT. The milage on this new car was worse than my RS. Plus with the smaller tires it had more road noise and didn't handle as well. On my car the right turbo was bad but when the dealership did the work they replaced both. Which was great for me. With this they replaced the serpentine belt under warranty. So now I am good for a long time. I bought this car used put over 17 thousand miles on it this year. Had to make three long trips with it is the reason. I plan on keeping this car a long time. So to all who wonder about the Q60s models you wonder no more it's a great car.

I've owned an Altima, 2 Maximas, a Rogue, a Q5 and an M37. I now have a 22 QX60 and yesterday, bought one of the last Q60's in the Minneapolis Metro. I've also had several Fords. I'm absolutely committed to Infiniti and think it's the most beautiful car I've ever owned. Would prefer that it had heads-up display and ventilated seats. My only criticism. I find the suspension, steering and transmission/engine interaction to be great. You can complain if you are a race driver, but I'm just an everyday guy. It's my first Coupe and the car is FANTASTIC!
