I'll jump in since I also have them. Very good for protection and are a great fit. Sometimes a bit slippery due to the material. The logo on the mats is a bit big and in your face. Very light material - I expected them to be heavy but they are super lightweight. Overall happy with them for protection. No matter what colour your car is I suggest black or else they will start looking dirty/stained after a while (so I've been told)
I like them a lot! Especially for the added protection, simplicity and in the rear where they go over the hump for those rare times I allow the kids to ride in the car ;-]

They are not as pretty as the factory mats but just a couple weeks into using the factory mats they were already starting to show minor wear where your heel rests so I ordered the WeatherTechs for the added protection. They're great to pull out in between full interior cleaning and just wipe them down quickly. They're expensive but so is your car.
Thanks, guys. I had been eyeing them up for a while. I placed my order too :)

Red Ninja - I like that plate. I first read it as road Ninja.
HAHA. Thanks, the wife gave her the name..:D

I found an open parking lot on top of a hill
That looks really good and the pics look really nice. I wonder if there's any place at the rear in the lower diffuser to add some red. It's throwing me off having it in the front and on the sides at the bottom of the car but not in the rear...is it just me? I am weird like that I guess :crying:

Pic from a little earlier today. It's hard to tell but the front windshield is now tinted with LLumar Air 80 blue.

Did Auto Cross with it this weekend. 10/10 Lots of fun.

Also handled way better than my G37. curious to see how it'll do when I don't have run flats on and get my lighter wheels. Didn't lose to my friends modded Z4 by much, so I'm happy.

Greetings owners,

Here are some pictures of my Q60 I am so happy with. I originally was going to go with the Majestic White but when I realized you can only get the Sunstone Red with the Red Sport 400 I changed my mind to that color and I’m really glad that I did. I’m a fan of white but I’ve been driving that color for over a decade, wanted a change and I like the idea the red is exclusive to the RS400. That alone was reason enough for me to go with the red and seeing the color in person in the sun, wow.

Expel installed on the entire front half of the car. The clear bra shop fully buffed and prepped the entire car before applying the clear bra and applied some opti-coat afterwards and gave me a bottle of Reload silica spray/sealer. The dealer was going to apply the wrap for me at a price $400 cheaper than this other shop but when I considered all the work this company does to the car and read their Yelp reviews I went with them at the higher cost. It was a good decision because I allowed the dealership to apply ceramic window tinting for free because I waited so long for the car and I found FOD embedded underneath that window tinting. The clear bra shop talked specifically about this and low and behold, that’s exactly what happened with regard to the tint.

As far as that delay in getting the car, I ordered it in early October and didn’t take possession of it until March. Five months.

I wanted the optional wheels but they do not fit over the larger brakes you get with the Red Sport even though at the time infinitiusa showed them as a viable option so I may shop for aftermarket wheels down the road. I don’t really like the stock wheels but they are growing on me.

The vehicle has the welcome lighting and illuminated kick panels. I was tempted by the under dash lighting but not for the price for what you get so I purchased that aftermarket and installed it under the dash and rear seats. All wiring is run in braided sheathing and under the carpet where it goes to the rear seats. It took me a couple nights to do that. The lights turn on white with the interior lighting when opening the doors and once the doors are closed you can turn them on to any of 16 colors you choose. I like the red as it is not distracting and just looks cool.

I really wanted the Radiant Grill I think it looks awesome but trim packages prevent you from adding that as an option. I discovered all you need to do it cut a small hole in the grill for the front camera and you can install the Radiant Grill on vehicles with the assistance package so I want to order the grill as a spare part, will use my Dremel tool to cleanly make the cut out for the camera and install the Radiant Grill myself – the dealership would not due to the cutting required. When I install the new grill I also want to add behind the grill lighting similar to the under dash lighting. I have the lights I just need to investigate my mounting options. Under glow is illegal in CA but I haven’t read anything referring to grill lighting. Imagine seeing this red mouth coming at you as you look in your rear view mirror!
Hey @MajDuty,

I got the same interior lighting kit as you and just installed it with some help from a buddy yesterday. Got a couple questions for you. First, the kit says that you can hook up the door wire to an "alternate power source" like a dome/door light for it to automatically turn the lights on in white when you open your door. I didn't try this because I wasn't sure where to attach it to. I was thinking the light on the bottom of the door, but would have to wire through the door panel to make it look clean. Did you attach this anywhere?

Second, I don't know if it was just the fuse that I connected it to or what, but the lights will not turn off when I shut of the engine and walk away. I didn't think I attached the fuse to the constant power source. Can you tell me where you linked yours too?

Also, don't you think these LEDs are super bright?

Thanks MajDuty...where did you get the aftermarket light kit?

He said in a previous post that he got it on Amazon. I believe this is the kit (at least, it's the one that I got and I'm pretty sure he provided the link to it): https://www.amazon.com/OPT7-Smart-Color-Strip-Interior-Lighting/dp/B00OU5LOT2

Little bit of advice on the kit...

1) The lights are bright as he||, especially if you don't hide the strip well, which is somewhat difficult to do because there isn't a lot of surface to stick the 3M tape to. Although, you can use zip ties and the mounts that they provide in the kit to give you a little more flexibility. Also, the lights are "dimmable," but they don't really dim all that much.

2) They offer a 6-strip kit and a 4-strip kit. I got the 6 strip, but I think it's overkill and there really aren't that many good places to attach them. I put one under the steering console, one under the glove box, and one under each lip on the backseat. I put one under each door handle too, but the strips are a little long AND unless you take off the door panel, I haven't really found a good way to make a clean installation on those (I haven't hooked those two up yet). I think that when/if I DO install those strips the interior is going to be as bright as the sun so....might be a lot of work just to disconnect them.

3) This kit says there's a way to hook them up to a power source so that when you open the door the lights will turn on in a white color, regardless of what you have them set to normally. I haven't figured out how to do that yet so if anyone has advice on that I'll be happy to take it!

Sweet.

I hope you plan on making performance modifications since this run you did here acts as a great baseline run to see what she can really do. Not enough people these days run it like this, in an OEM or close to OEM state.

Still lovin' my RS400. A capable nimble performance ('cept for the poor tires..NOT RF's). I can see the coup doing well in Auto Cross with more athletic tires.

Have never been into mods, and don't expect to ever be. Feel that the maker of the car should be able to design a livable/snappy ride without a boatload (carload?) of add-ons. But, I can readily see why any owner would like to make their ride "special/unique". Not a darn thang with 'customization' though. Carry On, Y'all!

I DO love WeatherShield mats though, as me drive in the real/dirty/dusty/gravelly world. The appearance of the mats is not-at-all exciting (pretty ugly). But they are totally practical, and very well designed for most cars. Including my coup. I use double layers of El Cheapo plastic "table-cloth yardage" for lining my trunks, 'cause I often go to plant nurseries, and haul other "dirty" stuff. How tacky?! (My cars always look great when I swap 'em out).
