Have to admit they came up with a pretty cool set up for the additional 100 hp, but like always the aftermarket is the equalizer..while the red 400 is sweet, I’m not sure if you could build it all for the extra 10k the red cost , so while many say it’s not worth it when your talking about 15k difference I say it is..sure you can take some short cuts, and do a lot with 10k making 500rwhp with stock turbos, adding a better intercooler, with the same water to air set up or even a air to air charge..you can for sure go fasteer, but as for brakes you can add better pads and rotors(or buy used 400 brakes) ,but having 17inch rims is a plus if your just trying to go faster ,as you have more sidewall and better traction especially if you add a sticky tire.. as far as the turbo sensors tons of cars don’t have them and make safe big hp numbers, but every opportunity to save your motor I see as a plus..if I’m just building a toy for myself or for my son id go with a cheaper model, unless I found a red dirt cheap…

@Bevo getting a reply to a comment from 7 years ago has to be an odd feeling. Kinda like a time capsule.

You're right, I saw the thread was from '16 and didn't realize that comment was later.

Heya just shows the tremendous value of the boards, comments and inputs!

I can't find performance stats anywhere online for the 3.0t, only the Red Sport.

Anyone know or have an estimate of the 0-60 & 1/4 mile times for the 3.0t?

And what exactly are the differences between the two that prevent the midrange model from putting out 400 hp? I thought they shared the same engine. Would a tuner be able to get the 3.0t closer to it's big brother's numbers?
3 differences
-tune
-auxillary water pump
-optical laser sensor

We clocked my '22 Luxe at 5.4 0-60, which is quick but frankly not that much noticeable in daily driving from a 4 second car. Having driven an Audi R8, a true 3 second car, there's a very noticeable difference. I was surprised at the great passing quickness of the Q60. I don't race or autocross anymore, so I don't really need more speed as a matter of practicality (as a matter of macho pride is different). It's quick, handles great (though I can't wait to get rid of the RFs), and great looking--though I think my '05 G35 that I traded in was one of the best looking sports coupes of all time. Just one old fart's opinion.
